Michael Barnes, APRN-CNP, PMHNP-BC

Michael Barnes is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with experience treating a broad range of mental health conditions. He believes in treating the mind, body, and spirit using an evidence-based and holistic approach. His approach to mental health is working with the client as a team to identify and treat the client's mental health needs. Prior to completing his advanced nursing degree, his experience in mental health care began as a patient care technician and then as a psychiatric registered nurse at The Ohio State University. Mike is a retired Army Veteran with a special passion for helping those suffering from trauma and addiction.

 

Michael has experience in adult inpatient mental health, outpatient mental health, medication assisted treatment for addictions, and Veterans mental healthcare. He also has extensive emergency management training, certifications, and experience.
